Reports to the short drama lead for the Global market

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Own the product roadmap and backlog of the short drama app for the Global market.
Research the market, users and competitors in short drama to propose new products, new features or improvements to existing ones.
Design and optimise the funnel - open the app, watch the first episode, hold the viewer across episodes, revenue - balancing ad breaks against the viewing experience.
Define requirements and complete the documents development runs on: PRD, SRS, mockups and wireframes, working with UI/UX.
Work directly with UA, Dev, the AI film production team and Data to ship and optimise the product.
Collect data, monitor and assess product quality after each launch and each optimisation release.
Decide with A/B tests on real traffic.

Own a product outright - you decide it rather than being consulted on it, and you are not tracking someone else's delivery.
Fast decisions and few approval layers, working directly with the lead.

At least 2 years as a Product Owner on mobile apps, having owned the roadmap of at least one real product - not just tracking delivery.
Able to read and decide by the numbers: funnel, retention, A/B tests.
Knows how to run an A/B test and how to read the result.
Solid grasp of the software development process; a firm grasp of Agile is an advantage.
Able to self-study, research and synthesise information.
Has already applied AI to real work.
Self-starting, and steady at the pace of a studio being built from scratch.
Preferred: IAA (ad-monetised) apps or content apps - fiction, film, audio; an understanding of what keeps short drama viewers watching; fluency in Excel or Google Sheets.
