Build a short drama app from zero with real users in the first month - architecture, video playback, ad SDKs, and AI through the whole workflow.

Reports to the short drama lead, working directly with the Product Owner and UA

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Develop the short drama mobile app.
Take part in analysis, architecture design and business-flow design.
Research and build concepts and POC modules, proving a given technical approach can work.
Deploy releases to the store yourself, and handle what goes wrong after they land.
Integrate and tune ad SDKs with mediation and waterfall - AdMob, Max/AppLovin and others.
Optimise video playback: load speed, playback quality and file size, distant markets above all.
Integrate and verify tracking (Firebase, AppsFlyer) - the numbers have to be right for UA to decide on them.
Use an AI coding assistant (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code or equivalent) as part of the daily routine: scaffolding, tests, reading logs, tracing bugs.
Automate the repetitive steps of the build and release pipeline rather than doing them by hand.
Work with the AI film production team to automate getting films into the app: metadata, subtitles, packaging.
Propose and try AI features in the product itself - recommendations, automatic translation and subtitles, a personalised viewing flow.
Bring new AI technology into the work, with the freedom to experiment and propose.

A genuinely AI-first environment - the films are produced with AI, the development process uses AI, and you are encouraged to automate every repetitive step rather than told to do it by hand.
Work directly with the Product Owner and the lead, with few approval layers.

At least 2 years building mobile on Android, with a real app shipped to the store.
Understands software architecture - MVVM, MVI, VIPER or an equivalent.
Understands design patterns and SOLID.
Has used an AI coding assistant on real work.
Able to research new technology and read English technical documentation.
Self-starting, works well in a team and alone, and steady at the pace of a studio being built from scratch.
Strong advantage: has integrated ad SDKs and mediation (AdMob, Max/AppLovin, Unity, IronSource).
Strong advantage: has automated a process with AI or scripts, not only used AI to generate code.
Strong advantage: lead or training experience.
Advantage: Jetpack Compose.
Advantage: streaming or video apps, playback and CDN tuning.
Advantage: apps scaled across several markets.
Advantage: web and cloud technology.
